About A Day in My Academy
You won’t find me just reading from a book here. In these photos, you’ll see us at 4 AM for a mock bridal assignment, practicing saree pre-pleating, and breaking down haircutting angles on a whiteboard. Whether it’s fixing a gajra or mastering a Russian rose bun, we do it until it is perfect, not just until the class ends.
Learning makeup and hairstyling isn't about watching videos—it’s about muscle memory. That’s why my academy in Goregaon West is built around hands-on repetition. If a student needs to redo a section of a haircut five times, we do it five times.
What a typical session looks like:
- Technical Foundations: We start with the theory of angles and sections, whether it’s a simple layer cut or advanced color application. I make sure every student understands the why behind a cut before they touch the scissors.
- Bridal Readiness: Bridal work is stressful. To prepare you for the real world, I simulate the pressure. We practice pre-pleating sarees, placing maang tikkas, and securing real floral gajras so that when you’re on the job, it’s second nature.
- Small Batches, Big Focus: With batch sizes limited to 5-8 students, I’m personally there to correct your hand movements. You’ll work on mannequins to build confidence and move to live models for the final polish.
By the time you finish, you aren't just certified—you have a portfolio. Whether you’re a total beginner or a pro looking to fix your blending technique, this space is designed to bridge the gap between knowing how to do it and being able to do it perfectly under pressure.
