About Portraits: Artists, Authors & Personalities
Getting a portrait taken can feel exposing, but I promise to make it feel like we're just hanging out. Whether you’re an artist wanting to show your creative process or someone just looking for photos that actually feel like 'you,' we’ll take our time. It’s about building enough comfort so that you forget the camera is even there.
My approach to portrait photography in Delhi/NCR is simple: I don't look for perfection. I look for the soul. I avoid the rigid, high-gloss studio aesthetics because they often hide the very things that make a person interesting—the way you tilt your head when you think, the intensity in your eyes when you talk about your work, or the gentle warmth of your smile.
When we work together, the session is less of a 'photoshoot' and more of a conversation. I prefer using natural light, which is why I love shooting in your home, your studio, or quiet outdoor spaces where you feel most grounded. This is especially true when I’m working with authors or artists. We’ll spend time chatting before we even pick up the camera so that the portraits we create feel like an extension of your own space.
How We’ll Work Together
- The Pre-Shoot Chat: Before we meet, I like to understand who you are. What drives you? What makes you feel at home? This helps us decide on the setting—whether it's your office, your creative studio, or a spot that holds meaning for you.
- No Forced Poses: I guide you rather than pose you. I’ll ask you to do things you’re comfortable with, and I’ll be there to capture the moments in between—the laugh after a joke, the thoughtful pause, or the look of focus.
- Authentic Editing: My editing style is warm, nostalgic, and focused on maintaining texture. I don't believe in heavy retouching that erases your unique features or lines, because those tell the story of your journey.
I’m always happy to travel for these sessions, but most of my work happens here in Delhi. If you’re ready for portraits that feel honest and true to your spirit, let's connect and create something soulful.
