About this collection
When planning a large-scale production like 'Tyāgarāja Hṛt Sādana' or 'Ṛtu Vismruthi,' the key is the synergy between the dancers and the live orchestra. Because we require a minimum stage dimension of 20ft x 15ft to execute our ensemble formations safely, I always recommend coordinating with your sound technician to ensure the live Carnatic ensemble—vocalist, mridangam, flute, and nattuvangam—is perfectly balanced before the curtain rises.
With my Chithkala Ensemble, we push the boundaries of what Bharatanatyam can express on stage. While solo recitals offer intimacy, these ensemble productions are designed to be immersive, theatrical experiences. We treat the stage as a canvas, using synchronized footwork, intricate formations, and lighting to create a visual and auditory journey that resonates with modern audiences.
Our repertoire includes thematic works such as 'Tyāgarāja Hṛt Sādana,' which delves into the life and musical contributions of Saint Tyagaraja, and 'Ṛtu Vismruthi,' a production that explores the changing seasons and human interaction with nature. We do not just perform; we build a world. This is why a live orchestra—vocalist, nattuvangam, mridangam, and flute—is non-negotiable. It provides the pulse of the performance, allowing us to improvise and connect directly with the audience in real-time.
Whether you are organizing a cultural festival in Bengaluru or hosting a private event, our productions are tailored to fit the scale of your space while maintaining the technical precision of classical Bharatanatyam. We manage the logistics for a team of 12 to 15 people, including costumes, makeup, and technical requirements, so that you can focus on the performance. My goal is to ensure that art remains 'Shwasa Vishwasa' (life breath) for everyone who attends, bridging the gap between traditional compositions and contemporary staging.

Bharatanatyam is my shwasa vishwasa, my life breath, and I share this passion with my Chithkala Ensemble. Together, we move beyond solo recitals to create grand, ensemble-led stories that celebrate both tradition and modern ideas. I look forward to bringing this energy to your next event.
