About Landscapes of India
I don't just lead tours; I run field workshops. When we're out in the Western Ghats or the high desert, you're not just following me—you're shooting alongside me. I'll be right there showing you how to read the light, manage your histogram, and frame that shot before the sun dips below the horizon.
Photography is about more than clicking a button. It is about patience. Whether we are scouting the misty valleys of Coorg or capturing the rugged rock formations of Chitradurga, the goal is to interpret the scene, not just record it.
My Approach to Landscape Photography
I focus on the technical craft. You will learn the exposure triangle, how to handle long exposures to smooth out water, and when to use infrared techniques to add a surreal quality to your portfolio. We do not chase trends. We chase light.
Where We Shoot
My tours are rooted in the diverse geography of India.
- The Western Ghats: From the monsoon-fed forests to the serene backwaters, this region offers endless opportunities for aerial drone work and dramatic landscape shots.
- The High Himalayas: For those ready for the altitude, we venture into Zanskar and Ladakh to capture high-mountain passes and desert plains.
- Karnataka’s Hidden Gems: I often revisit locations like Hassan or local bridges to teach sunrise composition and early morning mist management.
Practical Learning
Every expedition includes post-shoot critique sessions. We sit down with Lightroom and Photoshop to ensure your final output matches what you felt on the ground. You will need your own DSLR or mirrorless camera, a sturdy tripod, and a wide-angle lens. If you are missing gear, let me know, and we can arrange rentals so you do not miss the shot.
