This collection is a preview of the landscapes I explore and the techniques I teach. From the star-filled skies of Zanskar to the coastal moods of Udupi, these images represent the art of capturing time.

A panorama of the Milky Way rising over Gumbak Ranjan in Zanskar. This region's rugged Himalayan landscape and dark skies make it a dream destination for adventure and astrophotography. This was captured in September 2023.

The Western Ghats near Kalasa, shrouded in morning mist. Last year's road trip was a whirlwind, but this year we took our time, soaking in the serene natural wonders of Hornadu.

A fiery October sunset paints the sky over a beach in Udupi. The vibrant colors and the lush green foreground capture the unique beauty of the karavali coast.

Standing under the vast night sky, I am reminded of how important it is to preserve this natural heritage. Light pollution not only affects our view of the stars but also disrupts ecosystems that rely on darkness.

A quick recap of one of my most epic journeys to Ladakh last December. It was biting cold, but the reward was a rare sighting of a snow leopard and experiencing the incredible local culture of Ulley.

This is a perfect example of creating a beautiful, blurry background, a technique we call 'bokeh'. In my workshops, I teach you how to use your DSLR's settings, specifically the aperture, to isolate your subject and make it stand out just like this. It's one of the first steps to moving beyond auto mode and taking truly artistic photos.4
Composition is all about telling a story. Here, I used the railway tracks as 'leading lines' to draw your eye into the distance. We'll explore how to find and use these lines in landscapes and cityscapes to create powerful, dynamic images. I also applied a selective color effect in editing to make the sky pop.
Night photography opens up a whole new world. This shot of Nandi Hills was taken using a long exposure technique to capture the light trails from moving cars. I'll show you the right camera settings for night shots, so you can capture everything from city lights to starry skies.

Color theory is key to making your subjects pop. Learn how we use a vibrant red dress against the muted greens and blues of the Himalayan foothills to create a visually striking image. The leading line of the couple's arms draws the viewer's eye across the frame.
Even in a vast landscape, you can create a focused, studio-like setup. We show you how to use simple elements like a fabric backdrop to control the scene, contrasting a dramatic, flowing gown against the raw, natural texture of the hillside.
