About Contemporary Bathrooms
Most people focus entirely on the tiles, but the real secret to a contemporary bathroom is the lighting. In my recent Sanpada projects, I used backlit mirrors and stretch ceilings to remove harsh shadows, which makes a smaller bathroom feel instantly bigger and more open without any structural changes.
Elevating Your Daily Routine
Designing a bathroom is about finding the balance between how it looks and how it works for you. You don't need a massive space to have a luxury experience. Whether it is a full renovation or a quick makeover, the goal is to create a seamless, uncluttered flow.
The Elements I Focus On
- Smart Lighting: Harsh, single-source lighting can make a room feel closed in. I prefer using backlit mirrors or LED profiles that wash the wall, giving the space a soft, premium feel.
- Modern Textures: Don't be afraid to mix things up. In my recent work, I have combined marble-finish tiles with fluted panels to add depth. It breaks the monotony of standard ceramic without making the room look busy.
- Efficient Storage: Clutter is the enemy of a modern look. From floating vanity units to recessed wall niches for toiletries, we can hide the essentials while keeping them within arm's reach.
