Recognitions, Awards, and Collaborations
Art is a way to tell stories, and sometimes those stories reach a wider audience. Here are some of the collaborations, exhibitions, and moments that have helped shape my journey.
Standing with my painting at the SDGs Through Arts exhibition in India. Being part of a United Nations and UNESCO affiliated event was a significant moment for me, connecting my art to a global conversation.
I was so honored when author Sujata Parashar asked to feature my story in her book, "SUNFLOWERS: Incredible Journeys of Epic Women Artists from India". This video shares my feelings about being included and a glimpse of the book launch.
This video is from a national level art show with FICCI FLO in New Delhi. It was a wonderful experience to showcase my paintings, connect with fellow artists, and receive this award in the city where I was born.
Receiving a certificate of participation at the 'SDGs Through Arts' event. Being recognized on stage for my contribution to this impact-driven art project was a deeply humbling and encouraging experience.
It was exciting to see our 'SDGs Through Arts' collaboration featured in The New Indian Express. Press coverage like this helps amplify the message that art can be a powerful tool for social action and change.
About Recognition & Collaborations
Most of these projects started with a conversation, not a grand plan. Whether it was working on the UN project for 'Sustainable Life below Water' or being featured in Sujata Parashar’s book, I focus on authentic connection. My art often evolves when I listen to the purpose behind the event, rather than just treating it as another commission.
People often ask if I plan these milestones, but truthfully, it has been more of a flow. When I was chosen to represent India for the 'SDGs Through Arts' project, it was a moment of deep validation. Painting for a cause like 'Sustainable Life below Water' was not just about technique; it was about using my canvas to speak for the planet. That kind of work requires staying true to my roots while engaging with global conversations.
Then there is the recognition closer to home. Being called 'Daughter of Delhi' yet building my life in Bangalore has been a unique balancing act. When FICCI FLO recognized my work in Delhi, it felt like coming full circle. It is not just about the awards or the press features in The New Indian Express; it is about knowing that the stories I tell through my brushes resonate with real people.
I bring this same commitment to every project, whether it is a small, personal portrait or a large-scale mural. For those looking to collaborate or commission work, my process is entirely transparent. I prioritize the story behind your needs, ensuring the final piece feels like an extension of your own vision. If you have a cause you care about or a specific narrative you want to capture in art, let us talk about how we can bring it to life together.
