My Pack: Life, Love, and Lessons
This isn't just a portfolio; it's a look at the lives I've had the honor to walk with. From the foster pups who taught me how to deliver litters to the tough cases that showed me resilience, this is the heart of my work in Whitefield.
This is Yoshi, a foster dog I helped through her pregnancy and who later mothered another litter of foster pups. This image captures a quiet moment of training and connection, reinforcing calm behavior around food. Her story is one of love, loss, and incredible maternal instinct.
A beautiful memory of Yoshi, the white Labrador, resting with two of her adopted puppies. She was a natural mother who taught me so much about canine care. These quiet moments are a reminder of the deep bonds we form with the animals in our care.
Me with Yoshi and another one of my dogs. She was a special soul who became a part of our family. Working with rescue dogs means opening your heart completely, and she made it easy.
This is a memorial for my dear foster, a gentle Rottweiler who loved toys and kittens. His story is a reminder that some dogs wait a long time for a home that never comes, but their lives are still filled with love and meaning. Every dog's journey teaches us something.
A beautiful portrait of Peek-a-boo's family: her biological Labrador pup in the back and her two adopted black pups in the front. Fostering and helping deliver ten puppies with no prior experience was a journey of learning and love.

A day in the life of Simba, the Rottweiler, and his foster kittens. This video shows his journey of learning to be gentle and patient with tiny creatures, a key part of his rehabilitation and socialization training.
About this collection
You’ll see a lot of laughter and chaos here, but everything you see is built on a non-negotiable foundation: a mandatory trial stay. Before I ever welcome a dog into my pack, I need to observe their temperament and see if my cage-free environment actually suits their specific personality, because forcing a mismatch is the fastest way to break a dog's confidence.
My philosophy isn't derived from a textbook; it comes from a decade of living in the trenches of pet care. Whether I am handling a fearful rescue or managing a lively puppy socialization group, I rely on the Japanese concept of Kintsugi—fixing the cracks to make something stronger. I don't believe in 'broken' dogs. I believe in dogs who need boundaries, routine, and a human who understands that their behavior often tells a story of their past.
My approach to canine behavior rehabilitation in Whitefield focuses on three pillars:
- Routine-Based Predictability: Dogs crave knowing what happens next. When they are confused, they get anxious. My structure eliminates that guesswork.
- Trust-First Training: I do not believe in forcing obedience. We earn respect through low-pressure interactions, allowing the dog to lower their defenses before we tackle commands.
- Cage-Free Living: My facility is a home, not a kennel. This creates a natural environment where dogs learn to navigate pack dynamics, which is vital for any pet boarding service that prioritizes mental well-being.
I have walked the path of loss and heartbreak, like with my dear Simba or Yoshi, and those experiences have only sharpened my focus. I know exactly how much your fur baby means to you because I know how much mine mean to me. If you are looking for more than just a place for your dog to sit while you travel, if you are looking for actual coaching and a partner who treats your dog with the same depth of care I gave to my own, let's talk. Every dog has a history, and I am here to help you understand the next chapter.
Poulomi Dhar
Hi you people. I'm Poulomi, and I’ve spent the last decade knee-deep in fur, foster chaos, and some pretty intense behavior work. I don't believe in 'broken' dogs—just dogs who need a shift in routine, a bit of trust, and someone who actually listens to what they're trying to communicate.
