A Day in My World: Empathy-Based Dog Training
From shelter work with Indies to quiet moments with my cocker spaniel, Drogo, this is how I learn to speak dog every single day.
Just a quiet Sunday moment at home with my cocker spaniel, Drogo. Our bond is what inspires me to help others find the same connection.
Gently offering a treat to a sweet Indie dog on the street. Every interaction is an opportunity to build trust and show kindness.
Practicing a "high five" with Drogo. Training should always be fun and engaging, strengthening your bond through positive play.
Taking your dog out for a change of scenery is a serotonin boost for both of you. This video captures the simple joy of spending quality time outdoors with my dog.
A quiet moment with a beautiful golden retriever. There is nothing like the calm, trusting presence of a dog.
Reunited with Puppy, a street dog I helped rescue four years ago. Seeing him happy and healthy reminds me why I do what I do.
Working with a shy but sweet Indie at Sarvoham Animal Foundation. Patience and positive reinforcement can help even the most timid dogs build confidence.
Fostering these two adorable puppies, Tobasco and Cider, was a magical experience. Here I am giving them a little ukulele concert.
Look at that face! This is Tobasco, one of the puppies I fostered. He is a professional cuddler and is looking for his forever home.
A sleepy cuddle with foster puppies Tobasco and Cider. Fostering is such a rewarding way to help animals in need.
About A Day in My World
The photos you see here are more than just snapshots. Whether I am working with rescued Indies at the Sarvoham foundation or fostering puppies like Tobasco and Cider, my focus is on connection, not control. When you join my workshops, we move away from strict command-based training and start looking at how to build a relationship through play and understanding.
Many people are surprised to learn that I was actually scared of dogs growing up. My perspective shifted entirely after rescuing my cat, Fai, and since then, I have dedicated my time to understanding the canine perspective. My daily life is a mix of training sessions, volunteering at shelters, and living with my own pack.
My training approach is built on the belief that most 'behavior problems' arise when we expect dogs to fit perfectly into our human world without understanding their natural instincts. My workshops are designed to bridge this gap. Instead of just teaching 'sit' and 'stay,' I help you become a translator for your dog.
Here is what we focus on in my online sessions:
- Body Language Decoding: Learning to read the subtle signals your dog gives you before they bark or lunge.
- Enrichment Games: Showing you how to make engaging puzzles using simple items like cardboard and towels, helping your dog burn energy mentally.
- Support for Indian Breeds: Recognizing the unique personality of Indie dogs and how to create a happy home life for them.
- Relationship Building: Using play and positive reinforcement to make your dog actually want to listen to you, rather than feeling forced.
Since all my sessions are online, it does not matter where you are based. If you want to move past frustration and start building a real, lasting bond with your dog, let’s work on it together.

I wasn't always a dog person—I used to be genuinely scared of them! Rescuing my cat Fai changed my life, and now I spend my days helping pet parents like you understand the 'why' behind their dog's behavior. My own pack, including my cocker spaniel Drogo, constantly reminds me that life with dogs is best when we stop trying to control them and start listening.
