People often ask if AI will replace photographers. My answer is in this video. AI can create an image, but it can't replicate the experience, the emotion, and the real, lived moments that we capture together. A photograph is a slice of your life, and that has to be lived, not generated.
For me, every element of a portrait, including the music I might pair it with later, is about emotion. This short video shares my thoughts on how visuals and sound must work together to evoke a sense of nostalgia and longing, creating a piece that truly touches the heart.

About Behind the Lens: My Process & Philosophy
My approach moves away from traditional, rigid posing to create a space where you can simply breathe and be yourself. Whether we are in my private Whitefield studio or capturing the golden hour outdoors, I focus on the connection you share with your family or yourself. Because I treat every portrait like a canvas, I do not provide raw files. You receive only finished, hand-edited images that have been carefully color-graded to preserve the mood and soul of our time together.
Why I don't give RAW files
To me, a raw file is like an unfinished painting. It holds the structure and the intention, but it lacks the soul. My work is not just about pressing a shutter; it is about the entire post-processing journey where I apply my signature painterly edits. By the time you receive your images, they have been through a 3 to 4-week process of detailed retouching, light adjustment, and color grading. Giving you unfinished work would not tell your full story.
The Experience: More than a photoshoot
Most people tell me they feel awkward in front of a camera. That is completely natural. My role is to help you relax, guide you through the process, and ensure you feel strong and beautiful.
- For Studio Sessions: We work with classic Old Masters lighting, vintage props, and intentional styling to create timeless, moody portraits in my Whitefield studio.
- For Outdoor Sessions: We utilize the soft light of sunrise or sunset at pre-scouted nature locations to capture cinematic, environmental portraits.
Your Session, Your Story
Before we begin, we will chat about what matters to you. Whether you are celebrating a personal milestone, marking a birthday, or simply wanting to document your family's growth, I want to understand your ‘why.’ This conversation helps me design a shoot that feels intimate and authentic. It is about creating a piece of art that reflects your real life, not an artificial standard of beauty. When you see your portraits, I want you to remember how you felt in that moment, not just how you looked.
