Motherhood & Maternity Portraits
These sessions honor the quiet, powerful journey of motherhood. Whether in my studio or during the golden hour, I aim to capture the raw, honest bond you share with your children, turning your story into a visual heirloom.
This maternity portrait is a full story in one frame. The traditional attire, the vintage props, and the tender interaction between the couple create a unique and culturally rich scene. The use of smoke adds a touch of ritual and magic to this moment of anticipation.
A portrait inspired by classic Indian art, capturing a mother and her infant. The use of traditional clothing and the warm, painterly light create a timeless image. It celebrates the deep, quiet connection between a mother and her baby in the early days of life.

A beautiful, sun-drenched moment between actress Shriya Saran and her daughter Radha. The flowers, the soft light, and their loving interaction create a portrait that feels joyful and idyllic, a perfect memory of a mother's love in a garden.
Music is the thread that connects this mother and daughter. This portrait, featuring Petra on the double bass and Maja on the cello, is a unique storybook image celebrating their shared passion. It’s a powerful representation of a bond deepened through art.

This portrait captures the classic "Madonna and Child" essence, a mother holding her infant in a timeless embrace. The painterly light and moody background focus all attention on the intimate bond and the baby's curious gaze, creating a true family heirloom.
A candid moment during my shoot with Shriya Saran, as her daughter Radha plays behind her. Shriya's comment about being a working mother adds a layer of authenticity to this beautiful portrait, capturing the reality of balancing career and motherhood.
The embrace between a mother and daughter is a powerful symbol of love and protection. This portrait of Deborah and Naomi is all about their connection, their gazes telling a story of deep affection and a shared journey.
A solo portrait of young Naomi from her family session. Holding a floral wreath, she looks serene and angelic. This image shows that during a family shoot, I also take time to capture the individual personality of each child.
About Motherhood & Maternity
I do not just ask you to pose and smile. Before we shoot, we talk about your journey, the specific milestones you want to remember, and how you want to feel when you look at these portraits years from now. By the time we start, the environment is relaxed, often including hair and makeup support, so you can stop worrying about the camera and focus entirely on your little one.
The Art of Motherhood
My approach to maternity and motherhood photography is less about taking photos and more about freezing a feeling. I look for the quiet, brooding frames—the way you hold your belly, the sleepy weight of an infant in your arms, or the tender gaze you share with your toddler.
My Process
Whether you choose my private studio in Whitefield or an outdoor session, we focus on connection.
- The Studio Experience: My studio sessions focus on a classic, painterly aesthetic. I use vintage props, rich textures, and controlled lighting to build a world that feels timeless, much like an Old Masters painting.
- Outdoor Sessions: These capture the whimsical, candid nature of your bond. We time these for the golden hour, using nature as a soft, ethereal backdrop to allow for more movement and spontaneous interaction.
Why I Do This
I am a mother myself, and I know that the blur of daily life often hides the beauty of these moments. When you book a session with me, you are not just getting a digital file. You are getting a piece of art that reflects your story. I hand-edit every image, focusing on color grading that feels rich and soulful. Because of this, I do not provide raw files. The painting is only complete once I have applied my final artistic touch. I am invested in the outcome as much as you are.
