About From Farm to Your Home: Our Process
Installing a natural lawn is a hands-on job. We start by manually leveling the ground and enriching the soil with vermicompost to ensure the roots actually take hold. It is not just about unrolling grass, it is about preparing the foundation so your lawn stays vibrant and healthy long after we leave. Once the carpet rolls are laid and pressed, we flood the area with water to help the roots settle immediately.
How We Manage Your Lawn Installation
When we talk about a 'farm-to-home' process, we mean we handle the entire supply chain. We source fresh Mexican Carpet Grass directly from farms, ensuring that when the rolls arrive at your site, they are vibrant and ready to grow.
The Installation Process
- Site Preparation: Before any grass touches the ground, we clear the surface of stones, weeds, and debris using traditional tools.
- Soil Enrichment: This is where many DIY attempts fail. We mix the topsoil with vermicompost or cow dung manure in a 1:4 ratio. This creates a nutrient-rich bed that encourages rapid root growth.
- Precision Leveling: We grade the soil manually to ensure a flat surface. This prevents water logging and ensures your lawn does not have those annoying dips where water collects.
- Turf Laying: We supply Mexican or Bermuda hybrid carpet rolls. These are laid out in a brick pattern to create an instant, seamless look.
- Finishing & Watering: After laying the turf, we use a manual roller to eliminate air pockets between the grass and the soil. Finally, we flood the area to settle the roots.
New Lawns vs. Renovation
If you have an existing lawn that looks patchy or dead, we treat it differently. We do not just lay new grass over old issues. We scrape the existing surface to a depth of 2-3 inches, dispose of the waste, apply anti-termite treatments, and revitalize the soil bed before installing the new carpet rolls.
What to Expect
Our natural grass typically takes 10 to 14 days to settle completely. During this time, the roots bind with the new soil. We provide guidance on watering schedules for this initial period so your investment stays healthy.
