Choosing the Right Grass for Your Soil
Not all grass types thrive in the same conditions. When ordering, consider where your lawn is located.
- Mexican Grass: My most popular option. It is shade-tolerant and dense, making it ideal for gardens that do not get full sunlight all day.
- Bermuda Grass: This is a hardy variety designed for high foot traffic and full sun. If you have an open lawn area for kids or pets, this is the better choice.
- Pearl Grass: A fine-textured variety that works well for partially shaded areas. It creates a lush, carpet-like look.
Logistics and Preparation
I supply these grasses in sod rolls, which include about 1 inch of soil. This means you are essentially laying down a pre-grown lawn rather than sowing seeds.
Before the grass arrives, ensure your ground is level. I recommend using Kempu Mannu (red soil) as a base to provide the nutrients your new lawn needs to take root. Since I manage the transport myself, I ensure bulk orders are loaded carefully so the grass doesn't dry out before reaching your location. Whether you are in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, or anywhere else in India, I handle the logistics so you do not have to chase trucks.
