Our Basketball Training Philosophy and Success Stories
A look at our training approach in Dwarka—where we mix intense drills with competitive play to build confident, tournament-ready athletes.
This is what hard work looks like. I am incredibly proud of our Pick Skills girls team, who earned their medals and the winner's trophy at the Hustle House 3x3 Basketball Tournament. We train to compete, and moments like these prove our dedication pays off.
To be fast on the court, you have to train fast. Here, we are pushing through agility and footwork drills using cones and ladders. I always tell my players, "Come on, fast, चलो!", because that intensity in practice is what builds game-winning speed and stamina.
This is the result of focused practice. You can see the clear transformation in this young player's two-ball dribbling, showing a huge improvement in coordination and ball control. My program is about turning potential into real, measurable performance, one session at a time.
A good shot is built on great form. Here, I am working with players on their shooting technique, focusing on elbow alignment and follow-through. This kind of personalized basketball coaching ensures each player understands the mechanics to become a consistent scorer.
These trophies are more than just awards; they represent the countless hours of grind, discipline, and teamwork my players put in. We secured Winner, Runner-Up, and MVP titles at the Hustle House 3x3 Tournament, a testament to our competitive training program.
A smart player knows more than just one way to pass. I teach my students a variety of passing techniques, from the basic chest pass to more advanced moves like the overhead and no-look pass. Mastering these skills is key to improving basketball IQ and effective team play.
It's important to pause and talk strategy. In this huddle during a practice game, we are discussing on-court positioning and decision-making. This is how we build basketball IQ, ensuring players not only have the skills but also the intelligence to read the game.
This is our team, our family. This group photo captures the spirit of our academy after a tough practice match. We foster a supportive community where players of all ages come together to push each other and grow.
About Featured
If you are considering joining, you will notice our sessions are not about standing in long lines. We mix high-intensity agility work with real-game scrimmages. Whether it is a basic layup drill or a tactical huddle, we ensure players are learning to read the game, not just run through motions.
How We Approach Training
We believe that basketball is a discipline that should feel like a game. At Pick Skills, we don't just teach kids how to dribble or shoot; we teach them how to play. Our philosophy is 'Fundamentals First,' but we bring that to life with energy.
The Training Process
- Structured Basics: We focus on proper hand placement, shooting mechanics, and footwork from day one. This creates a solid base so players don't develop bad habits.
- Game-Ready Scrimmages: We move from drills to real match scenarios quickly. This is where basketball IQ is built—learning when to pass, how to space the floor, and how to defend under pressure.
- Conditioning: Our players work with ladders and cones to build the speed and stamina needed for competitive matches.

Pick Skills Basketball Academy
We are a basketball family here in Dwarka. I focus on making sure every kid walks off the court feeling more confident than when they started, whether they are just learning to hold the ball or training to compete in their first tournament.
