Capturing Real Family Moments Behind the Scenes
I do not believe in stiff poses or fake smiles. My photography process is all about fun, movement, and preserving the genuine, messy reality of your family life.
One of my little tricks for big smiles. It's not about saying "cheese"; it's about earning those precious laughs through play and fun. This is how we get those genuinely happy photos.
You might think this is a model shoot, but it's actually a beautiful mother-daughter session. You don't need a special occasion to capture the incredible bond you share.
A glimpse into my travels and shoots. From Russia to the UAE and back to India, my camera is always with me, ready to capture beautiful family stories wherever I go.
About Behind the Fun
When you book a session with me, you are not just hiring a photographer but joining a team. I guide parents through the shoot by asking you to engage in little games, songs, or dances to keep the energy light and authentic. We work together to handle the unpredictability of kids, whether it involves planned snack breaks or waiting for a shy child to warm up in their own time.
Photography is rarely about the camera settings. For me, it is about creating a space where your family feels safe enough to be themselves. Whether we are shooting in a quiet corner of your living room or out at Cubbon Park, the process remains the same: we focus on connection over perfection.
The 'No-Pose' Philosophy
My sessions are designed to move. I rely on prompts rather than rigid posing. If I ask a child to run, it is to capture the joy of motion and the natural expressions that follow. If I ask a parent to whisper a secret, it is to get that intimate, quiet reaction that defines your specific bond. This is how we move away from stiff portraits that feel like school photos.
The Gear and The Grit
I blend modern digital photography with my vintage FED-5 film camera. There is something grounding about the slower pace of shooting film. It forces us to be intentional. When I shoot, I am looking for the light leaks, the grain, and the motion blur that makes a picture feel alive. It might not look like a magazine advertisement, but it will look exactly like your life.
Managing the Unexpected
Every parent worries about their child having a meltdown or refusing to cooperate. My services include a patience buffer, which means we do not rush. We build time for tears, outfit changes, and feeding into the session. If the kids want to run in circles for ten minutes, we do that. Often, those moments of chaos turn out to be the ones you will cherish most later. I am there to document the story, not just the smile.
