About this collection
We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to feeding. Some of our guest dogs are nervous eaters or prone to food aggression, so we use crates during mealtime to give them a calm, private space to enjoy their food without stress. For those who are missing home and feel a bit shy, Megha often sits with them and hand-feeds them, giving them the extra comfort they need to eat well.
Our Kitchen Philosophy
When your pet stays with us in our Kalkere home, they eat just like they would at your place. We steer clear of purely commercial feeding habits. Instead, we cook fresh meals daily—think pressure-cooked chicken and rice, roti with dhal, curd, or scrambled eggs. It is honest, simple, and easy on the tummy.
Customizing the Menu
We know every animal has a unique routine.
- The Picky Eaters: If your dog prefers Pedigree or a specific kibble, we are happy to stick to that routine. Just let us know.
- Special Diets: If your pet has allergies, a sensitive stomach, or needs specific ingredients like plain boiled chicken, bring those instructions along. We follow your feeding plan to the letter.
- Cat & Small Pet Meals: Our feline guests and smaller friends get their meals in a quiet, separated space, ensuring they have peace to eat their preferred wet or dry food away from the dog pack.
Why We Use Crates at Feeding Time
This isn't about restriction; it's about safety. Even the friendliest dogs can become possessive over food when they are in a new environment with other dogs. By creating individual, secure feeding spaces, we ensure that every dog can focus on their bowl without the pressure of other pets hovering, making mealtime a peaceful part of the day rather than a source of anxiety.
