Competition Prep and Advanced Dog Training
Get your dog ready for obedience trials, KCI competitions, or simply master advanced off-leash skills with science-backed, positive training.
This is a glimpse into a more formal training session at a dedicated facility. I'm working on precision heeling with this German Shepherd, a key skill for obedience competitions and advanced dog sports.
About Competition Prep & Advanced Skills
Competition work requires much more than basic 'sit' or 'stay' commands. It demands absolute focus, especially when there are distractions around. In these sessions, we work on precision, like maintaining perfect heel position or executing complex maneuvers, so your dog learns to stay locked in on you rather than the environment.
When you want to take your dog to the next level, basic obedience isn't enough. Advanced training is about building a mental bond that lets you communicate clearly, even from ten feet away or amidst high-traffic areas in Delhi NCR.
Why Advanced Training?
Whether you are aiming for KCI or Schutzhund competitions or just want a dog that listens instantly in the park, the goal is the same. I use positive reinforcement to build 'drive' and focus. We move beyond simple tricks to:
- Precision Heeling: Your dog moves in perfect sync with your pace, whether you are walking, turning, or changing speed.
- Distance Control: Performing 'sit', 'down', or 'stay' commands from a distance, proving that your dog respects your command regardless of proximity.
- Emergency Recall: The most important skill for safety. Training your dog to stop and come back instantly, even if they are chasing a ball or distracted by other dogs.
- Impulse Control: Using high-value food distractions to teach your dog to 'leave it' or 'wait' until you give the green light.
My Approach
I keep the training session fun. If the dog is bored, they won't learn. We do short, high-intensity drills that keep the dog engaged. My goal is to fix temperamental issues and channel that 'hyper ness' into disciplined, athletic performance.
I offer these sessions across Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, and Ghaziabad. We can work in your home driveway, local parks, or at the VDR Kennel facility depending on the distraction level we need to tackle. If your champ is ready to work, I am ready to train.
