About this collection
Our events are built on the principle that tennis should be accessible to everyone, from our kids' workshops to the Tabebuia Open wheelchair tournament. These sessions are held on our covered, fully wheelchair-accessible courts at the Padukone Dravid Centre, ensuring that training and competition never stop for rain or sun.
Our tournaments, like the Tabebuia Open, are central to the PBI culture. We believe that match play is the fastest way to understand your game, regardless of experience. These events are not closed-door; we structure them to provide real-time feedback and exposure for wheelchair tennis athletes who are looking to transition from training to AITA or ITF circuits.
Beyond high-stakes competition, our workshops focus on accessibility and breaking barriers. We host regular clinics for women, children, and athletes with disabilities, introducing them to the sport in a supportive group setting. These sessions, led by our coaching team, demystify wheelchair tennis mobility and stroke basics. It is about creating a space where the next national champion feels just as welcome as the beginner picking up a racket for the first time.
Because our courts at the Padukone Dravid Centre are covered, these workshops and tournaments run regardless of the weather. You will find that our community is deeply collaborative. We invite players to join, watch, and learn, ensuring that the progress made during a workshop translates to confidence on the court.
