About Canvas, Texture & Traditional Painting
You do not need to be a professional artist or even have a steady hand to join these sessions. I make sure every workshop is beginner-friendly, providing all the materials like primed canvases, modelling paste for textures, and traditional mirrors for Lippan work. You just need to bring yourself, and I will guide you through each step so you walk out with a finished piece that you created from scratch.
Our studio is built for those moments when you want to step away from the screen and actually make something with your hands. We focus on the process, not just the result, which makes these workshops perfect for groups or a solo recharge.
What We Cover
- Canvas & Texture Art: We explore more than just flat painting. Using palette knives, modelling paste, and gold foil, you can add depth and dimension to your canvas. It is tactile, messy, and very satisfying.
- Traditional Lippan Art: This is one of our most popular sessions. We teach you how to draft geometric patterns, work with clay coils to create 3D relief lines, and set mirrors to create that classic Kutch-style wall art.
- Step-by-Step Guidance: We keep our group sizes small so I can personally help everyone. If you get stuck on a brushstroke or aren't sure how to place a mirror, I am right there to help you fix it.
Practical Details
- Materials Included: You do not need to buy anything. We use quality student-grade acrylics like Camlin and Fevicryl, and all bases—whether it is a stretched canvas or a circular MDF board—are provided.
- Take Home Ready: For canvas and Lippan art, your piece will be dry enough to carry home immediately after the session. We provide aprons to keep your clothes clean while you work.
- Location: You can find us in Whitefield, Bengaluru. It is a quiet, comfortable space where you can focus on your art without any distractions.
