Most commercial body butters are watered down, which is why you end up needing more product to feel hydrated. My whipped butters are entirely anhydrous, meaning there are no water fillers, so a tiny scoop is all you need to last the day. If you are switching to natural deodorant, give your skin a week to adjust as it clears out the residue from conventional antiperspirants.
When I started making skincare, I realized we were overcomplicating simple needs. You do not need a ten-step routine to feel good. You just need products that do the job without the junk.
Why Anhydrous Matters
My body butters and lip balms are water-free. When you buy a typical lotion, the first ingredient is often water, which dries out fast. By focusing on rich plant butters like Shea, Mango, and Kokum, I ensure the product stays active on your skin. These are not just moisturizing; they provide a protective barrier against the elements, whether you are dealing with Mumbai's humidity or winter dryness.
Natural Deodorant: The Truth
If you are switching to a natural deodorant, do not panic if it feels different. Conventional antiperspirants use aluminum to plug your pores, stopping sweat entirely. My version uses natural antimicrobial agents like tea tree oil and clay to manage odor while letting your body sweat naturally, which is its intended function. It takes a few days for your body to adjust. Stick with it.
Ingredients We Do Not Use
- No synthetic fragrances. I use pure essential oils for scent.
- No artificial colors. The shades come from natural clays or turmeric.
- No parabens or petroleum jelly.
I make these in small batches in my studio, ensuring every jar of Unicorn Butter or tin of deodorant is fresh. When you order, you are not getting something that sat on a shelf for months. You are getting skincare made with intent, by hand.
