I’m tired of complicated routines, and I’m guessing you are too. Skincare does not need a science degree. Here is the real talk on keeping your skin happy without all the fuss.

Skincare Myth: "Apply moisturizer on dry skin." Fact: Applying it on damp skin helps lock in hydration for better absorption.

Skincare Myth: "Oily skin doesn't need moisturizer." Fact: Oily skin still needs hydration. Skipping it can actually cause your skin to produce even more oil.

Skincare Myth: "Coconut oil is the best moisturizer for your face." Fact: While great for the body, coconut oil can clog pores and trigger breakouts on the face, especially for acne-prone skin.

Skincare Myth: "Handmade skincare products don't last long." Fact: When properly formulated, natural skincare can be just as stable and effective as commercial ones.

Winter Skincare Myth: "Soaps dry out your skin." Fact: Not all soaps are created equal! My handmade soaps are formulated to nourish and hydrate, not strip your skin.

Summer Skincare Tip: Let your skin breathe. Avoid heavy creams and opt for lightweight cleansers like my cold-processed soaps.

A quick guide to moisturizers. Body butters are perfect for dry and sensitive skin, providing deep nourishment.

How to use essential oils safely. Always dilute them with a carrier oil like Jojoba or Almond oil before applying to your skin.

A warning about essential oils that can be irritating, such as Peppermint or Cinnamon, especially on sensitive skin. Dilution is key!

What do essential oils do? They are concentrated plant extracts that can offer antibacterial, soothing, and nourishing benefits.

About Skincare Simplified

Most of us are taught to layer expensive products until our skin feels like it is suffocating. Real change usually starts with a simple habit: applying your moisturizer to damp skin instead of dry. It traps the water already on your face, keeping it hydrated for hours without needing heavy, pore-clogging creams. It is a small change, but your skin will thank you for it.

I started One Pour Tree because I was honestly pareshan (fed up) with confusing labels and 10-step routines that never seemed to work. Skincare is not about how many products you own; it is about knowing exactly what you are putting on your body.

My approach is built on cold-processed soaps and anhydrous (water-free) formulas. When you strip away the water fillers, parabens, and synthetic fragrances, you are left with active, natural ingredients like Shea butter, olive oil, and essential oils that actually nourish the skin barrier.

Common Myths I Hear Every Day

  • Oily skin does not need moisturizer: This is one of the biggest misconceptions. When you dry out oily skin with harsh cleansers, your body panics and produces even more oil. Giving it proper, lightweight hydration actually helps balance your sebum production.
  • Handmade soaps dry out the skin: Commercial soaps are often detergents that strip natural oils. My cold-processed bars are cured for 6 weeks, retaining natural glycerin that keeps your skin soft, not tight or flaky.

Whether you are dealing with acne-prone skin or just looking for a simple, natural deodorant alternative, the goal is to stop working against your body and start working with it. If you want to chat about what your skin actually needs—or doesn't need—feel free to reach out. I am always happy to help you figure out a routine that is honest, simple, and effective.

I'm the one behind One Pour Tree, and for me, this is about way more than just selling products. I believe in honest ingredients and slow, handmade processes because that is what actually works for healthy skin. My favorite part is meeting you at markets and swapping stories, not just handing over a receipt.
