I believe every culture has its own rhythm. From North Indian festivities to Christian ceremonies, I capture the traditions that matter to you.

About Diverse Wedding Traditions

Whether it is the high energy of a North Indian Sangeet or the quiet, serene atmosphere of a church wedding, I adjust my shooting style to match the mood of the room. I do not just point and shoot; I look for the specific, small cultural details that tell the story of your family's history, ensuring your images look authentic to your specific upbringing.

Photography is not one size fits all. While Maharashtrian rituals are my core specialty, I bring that same level of observation and care to every celebration I attend.

My Approach to Different Traditions

When I step into a North Indian wedding, I change my rhythm. These events are often fast-paced and vibrant. I use my gear to track that motion—keeping the colours rich and the focus sharp during crowded rituals like the Sangeet or Baraat. I look for the small, funny interactions between family members that happen when they think nobody is watching.

For Christian ceremonies, the approach is softer. I focus on the stillness of the moment—the exchange of vows, the light inside a church, and the understated emotions of the guests. I adjust my lighting techniques to maintain that natural, calm atmosphere without over-processing the final images.

Why Details Matter

I believe the smallest things are often the most important. A specific way a veil is pinned, the way hands hold a prayer book, or the specific flower used in a garland—these are the things that ground a photo in your specific reality. I do not aim for generic, stock-photo perfection. I aim for your version of perfection.

If you are planning an event in Mumbai, Pune, or Raigad, let me know what your traditions look like. I am always happy to discuss how we can best document the customs that define your family.

I am Omi. I treat every wedding—regardless of the region or tradition—as a story that deserves to be told with respect. I am just as comfortable capturing the quiet grace of a church ceremony as I am the spirited energy of a North Indian baraat.
