Capturing Sacred Rituals and Candid Wedding Moments
Real emotions during wedding rituals aren't posed, they're felt. I focus on catching the quiet promises and the big laughter that define your Maharashtrian wedding story.
The laja homa ritual, where the couple offers puffed rice to the sacred fire, is a pivotal moment. I capture this with a focus on their joined hands and happy expressions.
The exchange of varmala garlands is a moment of acceptance and joy. Here, Ekta and Eshant proudly display their garlands, smiling for the camera.
A quiet moment of togetherness on the wedding stage. The bride rests her head on the groom's shoulder, a simple gesture full of love and contentment.
A romantic moment under a shower of rose petals. The beautiful decor and the couple's loving gaze create a truly cinematic wedding photograph.
The bride's spontaneous, joyful laughter during the ceremony. Capturing these unscripted moments with family is what makes wedding photography so special.
An elegant, posed portrait taken away from the main ceremony. The dramatic lighting and classic pose give this shot a timeless, regal feel.
A heartfelt embrace at the end of the ceremony, with guests celebrating in the background. This photo is filled with the emotion and energy of the moment.
A touching moment between the bride and a family member during a wedding ritual. These inter-family connections are a beautiful part of any wedding story.
A grand portrait of the newly married couple on stage, under a stunning floral canopy. Their happy smiles show the joy of starting their new life together.
Another angle of the sacred homa ritual, showing the couple's focused participation and the traditional elements of the ceremony.
About Sacred Rituals & Candid Moments
When shooting rituals like the Antarpat or Laja Homa, I make sure to step back so you do not even notice the camera. This ensures the focus stays entirely on the connection between you and the sanctity of the ceremony, rather than having a photographer constantly in your face directing every gesture.
Wedding days are often a whirlwind of activity. My goal is to capture the moments that happen in between the main events, like the way you look at each other during the Saptapadi or the genuine joy when a family member laughs during the ceremony.
I know the sequence of a Maharashtrian ceremony inside out. From the initial rituals to the final reception, I am always ready at the right angle without interrupting the flow. I look for the small, important details: the mundavalya, the nath, and the way the pheta is tied. These are the details that matter to your family.
I do not believe in over-staging shots. While I will guide you for portraits to ensure you look your best, the rest of the day is about documenting your reality. We will discuss the timeline beforehand so I know which family members are key, ensuring I get those important shots without feeling like I am directing the entire event. Whether it is in a hall in Mumbai or an outdoor venue in Alibag, my priority is keeping the integrity of the ritual while making the final photos look cinematic and honest.
