Stop buying standard rope lights that fail in a few months. I am Amit Agarwal, and I'm here to show you how real, professional-grade COB strip lighting works—seamless, spotless, and built to last for years.

The biggest problem with standard LED strips is the visible dots, which look cheap. My COB strip lights solve this by using a continuous line of LEDs, giving you a completely seamless and spotless glow. It is the professional choice for coves and profile lighting.

For a truly spotless light from an aluminum profile, you need a COB strip. As you can see, even with a diffuser on top, there are absolutely no dots visible. This is because there are thousands of tiny LEDs per meter, creating a perfectly uniform line of light.

Mood lighting is simple with my smart LED COB strips. You can control them with a mobile app to change colors, sync with music, or dim the brightness to create the perfect atmosphere. These are spot-free, providing a clean, continuous line of light for any space.

This is my tri-color CCT COB strip light, which is also dimmable. You can change the color from cool white to natural white to warm white, and also adjust the brightness for a soft, mood-lighting effect. It gives you complete control over your ambient lighting.

To make your curtains look luxurious, I recommend using a curtain grazer light. This specialized strip light is installed to wash the drapes with a smooth, even glow, enhancing their texture and eliminating shadows. It is a simple trick that adds a touch of elegance.

Choosing the right LED strip density is important. I recommend 60 LEDs per meter for very soft light, 120 for proper cove lighting, and 240 for profile lights in cabinets and wardrobes where you need bright, even illumination.

Many electricians recommend 50-meter rope light rolls, but I advise against them for indoor use. These rolls trap heat and have a shorter life. I always recommend 5-meter strip lights, which allow heat to disperse and will last you for many years.

For cove lighting, you should always choose 5-meter LED strips over 50-meter rope lights. Rope lights are meant for temporary outdoor use and are not long-lasting. My high-quality strip lights will give you a lifespan of five to eight years, so you can install them with peace of mind.

A common question is whether you can cut and join LED strips. The answer is yes. You can cut them at the designated copper markings and use jointers to connect even small pieces, ensuring there is no wastage.

Good quality LED strips, whether from a top brand or a reliable Made in India brand like the ones I sell, should last you a minimum of 5 to 7 years. The key is the quality of the LED chip. Investing in a good product saves you trouble in the long run.

About LED Strip & Profile Lighting

Most electricians will push you to buy 50-meter rope light rolls because they are cheap and easy to throw into a cove. I strongly advise against this. They trap heat and fail quickly, often leaving you with dark patches. Instead, I suggest 5-meter COB LED strips. They give you a perfectly uniform, dot-free glow for your coves, wardrobes, or kitchens, and because they dissipate heat efficiently, they will last you 5 to 7 years without needing a replacement.

Why I Recommend COB Over Standard Strips

If you want that 'hotel-like' premium finish in your home, the difference lies in the density. Standard LED strips show visible 'dots' of light, which look cheap. My COB (Chip on Board) strips use thousands of tiny LEDs packed together to create a continuous, spotless line of light. Whether you are lighting a kitchen cabinet or a false ceiling, you get an even, luxurious glow.

Choosing the Right Density

Not all strips are the same. I guide my clients based on the application:

  • 60 LEDs/meter: Best for soft, low-intensity mood lighting in bedrooms.
  • 120 LEDs/meter: The standard for cove lighting where you need a steady, clean line.
  • 240 LEDs/meter: My recommendation for profile lighting in wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, or under-counter task lighting where you need bright, even illumination without shadows.

Safety First: 12V and 24V Systems

Many people worry about using strips in bathrooms or near mirrors where moisture is present. You can stop worrying. All my strips operate on 12V or 24V DC, which is 100% human-safe. They will not cause electric shocks. You can safely install them behind bathroom mirrors or inside vanity cabinets without any fear.

Installation Matters

I often see people trying to join long rope lights, which leads to voltage drops and heat buildup. With my quality strips, you can cut them at the designated copper markings and use professional jointers. It ensures zero wastage and consistent brightness from the first inch to the last. Remember, bijli ki galti maaf nahi karti—invest in quality once, and you won't need to call the electrician again.
