About Reflections of Life: A Conceptual Series
My process rejects heavy digital manipulation. Instead, I rely on the classic darkroom discipline of dodging and burning to sculpt light and shadow, ensuring that each reflection is a deliberate, honest capture rather than a synthetic creation.
Photography is, at its core, a conversation between light and the observer. In this series, I move away from the straightforward subject-lens relationship. By using reflections—be it glass, water, or the interplay of light in an architectural space—I layer realities. This approach allows me to capture not just a person, but their environment and the transient emotions that define the moment.
Whether shooting at my Palam Vihar studio in Gurgaon or on location across the National Capital Region, I apply the same philosophy: the image must tell a story without relying on digital post-processing gimmicks. This is fine art photography rooted in tradition. When you look at these images, you are seeing the result of precise camera work and careful framing, not software filters. For clients who appreciate conceptual portraiture and visual storytelling, I bring this same level of focus to our sessions. We strip away the unnecessary, leaving only the narrative and the emotion intact.
