The details matter in traditional ceremonies. This is a floral Matki Chori set, an essential element for Gujarati, Rajasthani, and Marwari weddings, which we place at the corners of the Vidhi Mandap.
About this collection
When I work on traditional ceremonies, I do not just use stock themes. I focus on the ritual essentials, whether it is the specific floral density of a Vidhi Mandap or the placement of a Matki Chori set. I am always on-site, ensuring the drapes are perfect and the ritual items are placed exactly where your family needs them to be for the ceremony to run smoothly.
Every tradition has its own rhythm, and my job is to provide a setting that respects that. I have spent decades in Mumbai working across venues like the Acres Club, and I understand that a Nikaah requires a different visual language than a Gor Dhana or a Sindhi wedding.
Why Tradition Matters
It is not just about hanging flowers. For a Gujarati ceremony, I ensure the Matki Chori sets are positioned correctly at the corners of the mandap. For Nikaah ceremonies, I lean towards clean, elegant backdrops—often using white mogra strings and roses—that create a serene atmosphere for the couple.
My Hands-On Process
I do not just send a team and leave. I am the one yelling, 'Aage jaake dekho!' (Go check ahead!) at the venue because I want to ensure every drape is aligned and every piece of lighting is working. My goal is to make your space feel like a celebration of your family's culture, not just a rented setup.
