My Journey: From Teaching to Handmade Art

For nearly three decades, I dedicated my life to teaching history and social science. While I loved my students, my heart was always pulled toward art and craft. During the lockdown, I finally took the leap to turn this long-held passion into a full-time venture. It was not an easy transition—at 59, stepping away from a secure job to learn macrame and crochet felt daunting—but it has been the most fulfilling chapter of my life.

My daughter, Sakshi, manages the business side of things, handling the digital space while I focus on the work itself. This partnership allows me to pour my energy into the actual labor of love: the knots, the stitches, and the design. We operate out of our home, keeping the process transparent and personal. I specialize in custom macrame decor, such as wall shelves and plant hangers, as well as crochet accessories and winter wear.
