Behind the Knots: My Story and Macramé Process

Every knot I tie holds a story, a memory, and a lot of heart. This is a peek into how I turn simple cotton threads into soul-filled decor from my studio in Dwarka.

My journey is a testament to the fact that the only limits we face are the ones we impose on ourselves. Polio made me physically weak, but it also made me more resilient and gave me the spirit to get up every time after falling.

I was always treated differently since childhood, which led to low self-esteem. But art has helped me heal and find a new purpose. I've found happiness in my own journey of creating beautiful things by hand.

A feature from Sylph Creatives. As the founder of atinytwisted, I see every macramé piece as more than just decor. It’s a personal expression, a story told through knots.

This feature talks about my journey from the corporate hustle to crafting peace. It all began as a stress-relief practice and evolved into a brand that celebrates handmade elegance.

More than just a business, atinytwisted is a community that celebrates handmade artistry. My mission is to inspire others to embrace their own creative potential, one knot at a time.

More than just a product, it's a piece of our story. This is the beauty of handmade. Every knot I tie holds a piece of my heart and passion.

Your hands hold the power to create what machines never could: soul. I truly believe that every piece I make is infused with a unique energy and passion. That's the magic of handmade.

Two years ago, I launched my Tree of Life design wearing this blue dress. Today, I found the dress again and recreated the shot. It's a reminder that fashion comes full circle, and some designs are truly timeless.

This captivating macramé Tree of Life whispers tales of resilience and growth. This video shows the intricate details of the cream and grey cotton cords woven together to create the branches and leaves.

About Behind the Knots: My Story & Process

I don't believe in mass production. When you order, I sit down with my cotton cords and start from scratch, treating each knot with patience and care. It is a slow, intentional process that means your decor is not just something I pulled off a shelf, it is something I crafted specifically for the space you call home.

My journey began in 2019 while I was still working a corporate job. I was looking for a creative outlet, and macramé became my way of finding peace. It wasn't always easy, and there were times, like losing my original Instagram community, that felt devastating. Yet, every setback taught me resilience. Today, I create everything from my studio in Dwarka, using 100% natural cotton cords, wooden beads, and a lot of heart.

When we talk about 'handmade,' I mean it. I do not use machines. Whether it is a Tree of Life design or a complex nine-foot plant hanger, I am the one measuring, cutting, and knotting. This means we can customize every detail, from the color palette to the size, to make sure it fits your vision perfectly.

I treat my work as a collaborative process. If you have an inspiration picture or just a vague idea of a mood, let's chat. I love taking those raw ideas and figuring out the right techniques—like the square knot or clove hitch—to bring them to life. By working this way, the final piece becomes a reflection of your personality and my craft, not just a generic product. My goal is to ensure that when you hang my work on your wall, you can feel the energy and intention I poured into it.
