Dance for me is a deep, internal journey. In solo performances like this 'Ekaharya' presentation, I immerse myself completely in the emotion of the character, using subtle expression to convey a universe of feeling.

My Story

We’re Abhinava Dance Company. Thirty years, and still, every step feels new. Our journey started with our Gurus, Maya Rao and Kumudini Lakhia – their words and passion, always with us. Family, friends, our art circle – couldn’t have done it without them. Dance is spiritual for us. Moments at Mantralaya, Belur Math, tears and bliss – all that gets poured into our art. When we dance, it’s like living those stories, feeling every emotion.
