About Kodagu Monsoon Half Marathon: Race the Clouds

Unlike flat city road races, this course is raw, wet, and demands total focus. Expect uneven terrain, steep elevation changes, and slippery paths that make for a genuine physical test. You will be running through working coffee plantations and river banks, so come prepared with trail-appropriate shoes and a mindset for grit rather than speed.

Why Run in the Monsoon?

This isn't just a race, it is a full-blown runcation. Kodagu in the monsoon is a different beast entirely. We mark the course with ribbons and chalk, winding you through lush, rain-soaked coffee plantations that you wouldn't get to see on a standard tourist route. The air is cool, the hills are vibrant, and the challenge is real.

Race Logistics and Terrain

Because this is a trail marathon, do not expect barricaded city roads. The course includes mud, gravel, and natural elevation changes. We set up hydration stations at critical points to keep your energy up, and our medical team is on standby specifically for trail-related support. We provide an RFID-timed bib, which means even on these wild paths, you get an accurate record of your performance.

What You Get

Your entry covers more than just the race bib. You get a nature-inspired dry-fit tee, a finisher’s medal to remember the climb, and a post-run meal featuring local Kodagu cuisine. We handle the routing and the safety markers so you can focus on the trail.

Planning Your Trip

Most runners treat this as a weekend getaway. While we handle the race logistics, remember that travel to and from Kodagu and your resort accommodation are on you. We recommend arriving a day early to let your legs adjust to the altitude and the humidity before the start line. This race attracts a tight-knit community of runners, so expect to make friends at the start line who will push you through those muddy stretches.
