Ever wondered how those natural, skin-loving soaps are actually made? Whether you want to start a side business or just make something chemical-free for your family, I will show you the science and the art behind every bar.

Join me to learn the science and art of cold process soap making. In my hands-on class, you will mix oils and lye safely, learn beautiful swirling techniques, and cut your very own loaf of natural soap to take home.

In my cold process workshop, I demystify the science behind soap making. Here, I explain the role of lye in saponification and how it creates a 100% natural, glycerin-rich soap that is gentle on the skin.

For beginners, my Melt & Pour soap making class is the perfect start. I explain how to use different soap bases, like this moisturizing extra white base enriched with Vitamin E and almond oil.

This video shows the process of making my Rose Calamine cold process soaps. I carefully mix the oils and lye solution before pouring it into the mold and adding a textured top with dried rose petals.

A satisfying moment in the soap making process is cutting a fresh loaf. This close-up shows the smooth, firm texture of a finished cold process soap, made with natural, plant-based oils.

Here I am cutting freshly made loaves of my Sandalwood Ubtan cold processed soap. This method allows for beautiful layers and swirls, making each bar a unique piece of art.

The final touch. After the soap has cured, I carefully stamp each bar with the Nebesa logo, giving it a professional and artisanal finish.

Here is a look at a fun DIY soap making workshop I conducted in collaboration with LBB. Participants learned to make their own handmade soaps in a lively, creative community setting.

Making handmade soap is a creative process of melting, mixing, and molding. This video shows how easy it is to get started with our melt and pour soap making workshop.

About The Art of Soap Making: Natural & Handcrafted

If you're a complete beginner, we start with the Melt & Pour method to get you comfortable with fragrance blending and molding. But if you want to understand the real science, I highly recommend the Cold Process course—it's a full-day intensive where we handle lye safely to create glycerin-rich soaps from scratch. You will leave with your own loaf and the technical confidence to replicate the process at home.

Soap making is as much about chemistry as it is about creativity. When I teach the Cold Process method at my Ashok Vihar studio, we don't just follow a recipe. We dive into the science of saponification—understanding how different oils like coconut, olive, and almond react with lye to create a bar that is actually nourishing for your skin rather than stripping it of moisture.

Why Choose Handmade?

Store-bought soaps are often detergents packed with sulfates and preservatives. When you make your own, you control every ingredient. You can tailor the soap to your skin type, whether you need extra hydration or a gentle exfoliant. My workshops cover:

  • Cold Process Basics: Handling lye safely, oil properties, and the 4-6 week curing process.
  • Artistic Techniques: Swirling, layering, and texture work to make each bar a unique piece of art.
  • Business Insights: For those looking to turn this into a venture, I share my personal vendor list for raw materials, tips on eco-friendly packaging, and how to calculate your margins.

Everything you need is provided—safety gear, raw materials, and yes, snacks to keep our energy up. You don't need prior experience, just a willingness to learn and a little patience for the curing process.
