Professional Volleyball Officiating and Match Management
My perspective on the game comes from decades of playing at the state and national level. I bring that same player's instinct to every match I referee in Bengaluru.
This frontline shot from a competitive match shows I still have the player's fire. This experience on the court directly translates into how I understand and officiate the game.
A single-hand block is all about timing and instinct. This moment from a night match shows the technical skills I've honed over years of playing, which helps me appreciate and judge complex plays as a referee.
This shows two sides of my game: a powerful spike during a state championship and a jump training exercise. This athleticism and technical knowledge is the foundation of my expertise as a player, coach, and referee.
A collection of my spiking action during various matches. As a senior player, I know what it takes to compete, and I bring that same competitive spirit and understanding to my officiating.
A powerful spike in action. Performance comes from passion, not pressure. This belief drives me as a player and reminds me to foster a positive and fair environment as a referee.
In the middle of a rally during an indoor tournament. Being an active player in modern, well-equipped facilities keeps me updated on the latest strategies and styles of play.
Standing on the court at the Home of the Torpedoes Volleyball. Just being on the court, ready to play, is a feeling that never gets old and fuels my passion for every role I have in the sport.
About this collection
When I stand on the high chair, I am not just looking at the rulebook. I am reading the rhythm of the game, anticipating the moves because I still play them myself. Whether it is a school league or a corporate tournament, I focus on game flow management—stopping unnecessary disputes before they disrupt the match and ensuring the josh remains high on both sides of the net.
Being a referee isn't just about calling fouls; it is about respecting the sport. My transition from a Senior National player to a certified official in Karnataka happened because I wanted to bridge the gap between strict rule enforcement and the actual spirit of the game.
How I Officiate
When I am the First Referee, I rely on my experience as a SAI NIS coach to understand the technical faults—substitutions, service errors, or net touches—that define the outcome of a match. My style is what I call Frank-aag helbeku (to be honest). You won't see me engaging in unnecessary drama, but I will maintain strict decorum on the court.
Where I Work
I cover matches across Bengaluru and the wider Karnataka region. My services include:
- Match Officiating: I handle high-stakes finals and league matches, ensuring FIVB rules are enforced fairly.
- Tournament Management: For full-day events, I act as the Technical Delegate, ensuring 6 to 8 matches run on time, managing disputes between captains, and keeping the court safe.
I treat every game with the same intensity as a state-level final. If you want a referee who understands the game from the inside out and knows how to keep things fair and disciplined, get in touch.
