This is the origin story of NBSI. I started the National Ballet School in 2019 to share my passion and make professional ballet training accessible across India. Since then, we've grown into a multi-studio institution with international recognition.
Having performed across 8 countries, I bring a global perspective to our school. My international experience shapes our training standards and helps us prepare dancers for a worldwide stage. Ballet isn't just what I do; it's who I am.
About About the Founder & Our Story
I started my own ballet training at 13, which is considered late in the traditional world. That taught me that grit matters more than timing. I built NBSI not just for perfectionists, but for anyone ready to show up, do the work, and find their rhythm.
They told me I started too late, but I found that the challenge only made me push harder. After dancing in eight countries and navigating the highs and lows of professional performance, I realized India needed a space that prioritized passion over rigid stereotypes. NBSI is that space.
We handle everything from high-stakes commercial choreography to the daily grind of technique classes. My goal was never just to teach steps; it was to create a community where setbacks like a last-minute show cancellation are viewed as opportunities to pivot and grow. Whether we are preparing for a commercial shoot or a student recital, we apply the same professional rigor.
