About Behind the Scenes & My Craft
Before applying any foundation, I always start with a Korean-style express prep, using under-eye patches and hydration masks to soothe skin tired from sleepless nights. This is not just about makeup, it is about ensuring your skin feels fresh and hydrated under the studio lights, so the base settles into a flawless glass finish rather than sitting on top of the skin.
My philosophy at Narumugai is built on transparency. When you browse these photos, you are not seeing edited, filtered versions of reality. You are seeing the actual work, the skin prep, and the honest makeup application. Whether it is a Muhurtham or a reception, I believe in showing the raw process because that is where the real skill lies.
Continuous Learning
I am constantly updating my techniques to bring global trends to Karur. For instance, I recently trained with Nissara, an internationally renowned hairstylist from Thailand, to master modern texturing and bridal updo techniques. This dedication ensures that when you book a session with me, you are getting current, high-standard hairstyling that stands up to long wedding hours.
The Narumugai Process
Every makeover starts with a consultation. I analyse your skin type and your outfit before selecting the right products. For reception looks, I use strobe creams and illuminators to achieve that signature glass skin finish. For traditional weddings, my focus shifts to long-wear HD foundation that can withstand the heat of the Homam and heavy silk sarees.
Why Raw Matters
I publish unedited videos of my skin prep, like applying under-eye patches or color correcting, so you know exactly what to expect in my chair. You will see how we manage everything from intricate floral braids (Poola Jada) to modern Hollywood waves. If you want to see how I handle different skin tones or specific bridal requests, my studio portfolio is open for you to explore. I am here to help you feel like your most beautiful self, not a different person.
Narumugai
Hi, I am Brinda. Narumugai is my studio in Karur, and I see it as a family rather than just a business. My goal is to highlight the natural beauty you already have, whether that is through a simple, glowy look or a bold, experimental style.
