It almost always comes down to the foundation: improper cuticle prep, failing to dehydrate the natural nail properly, or skipping the correct base coat application. When you're sitting in my chair or my classroom, we start by analyzing your specific nail bed because a structure that lasts starts with that initial preparation.
Beyond just aesthetics, understanding nail health is the core of what I teach. When we talk about nail art longevity—whether it's chrome, 3D art, or simple gel polish—the secret is almost always in the prep.
