Watch the magic of temperature change polish. In this video, I demonstrate how the color shifts from a light, neutral shade to a warm pink when it comes into contact with heat.

About this collection

A common concern I hear is, "Why do my extensions lift or gel polish chip within a week?" The answer is rarely just the product quality. It almost always comes down to the foundation: improper cuticle prep, failing to dehydrate the natural nail properly, or skipping the correct base coat application. When you're sitting in my chair or my classroom, we start by analyzing your specific nail bed because a structure that lasts starts with that initial preparation.

Beyond just aesthetics, understanding nail health is the core of what I teach. When we talk about nail art longevity—whether it's chrome, 3D art, or simple gel polish—the secret is almost always in the prep. For instance, in our Russian Manicure modules, we spend time on dry cuticle work because clean, healthy skin around the nail is the only way to ensure the product adheres properly without lifting.

Why Your Nails Might Be Failing You

  • Improper Prep: If your nail plate isn't buffed or dehydrated correctly, even the most expensive gel will peel.
  • The Apex Structure: For extensions, the 'apex' (the thickest part of the nail) isn't just for looks; it provides the structural integrity needed to prevent breakage. If your technician skips this, your nails will feel weak.
  • Product Compatibility: I’ve seen many clients struggle because they mix brands that aren't chemically compatible. My academy teaches the science behind why specific base coats work with specific top coats.
