I brought the nail industry to India 20 years ago, and I have been obsessed with every detail since. From our humble beginnings to the family of experts and clients we are today, this is the story behind NSG.
Here's a little bit about my story. I never planned to be in the nail industry, but a hobby turned into a 20-year passion. This video shares my journey from a corporate IT job in North America to becoming a pioneer in the Indian nail industry.
Looking back at the last 20 years, it's amazing to see how much has changed. In the beginning, nobody wanted artificial nails. Now, there's a nail bar on every corner. It took a lot of hard work to build that awareness, and I'm so proud of how far we've come.

About The NSG Experience: Our Story, Team & Clients
When I started in 2004, people did not believe in artificial nails. Now, I am proud to have clients who have been with us for two decades, watching their families grow right here in our chairs. When you visit any of our spas, you are not just getting a manicure. You are stepping into a space where my team—many of whom have been with me for over ten years—will take the time to know you and your nails.
Building the nail industry in India was not easy. In the beginning, my small studio in Galleria Market faced a lot of rejection. People wanted natural, and they did not understand the craft. I had to hustle, educate, and be persistent. Today, seeing a nail spa in every market is validation that the hard work paid off.
But NSG has never been about just churning out manicures. It is about the culture. My team is my backbone. Experts like Shiny and Nakul have been with me for over a decade. We are not a corporate franchise. We are a team that feels like home. When you come in for a GelX extension or an intricate nail art session, you are interacting with technicians who actually care about your nail health, not just finishing the appointment.
We have grown alongside our clients. I still see women who started coming to me as young girls, now bringing their own daughters in for their first appointments. Whether you are at our flagship in Mumbai’s Cuffe Parade, our hub in Koregaon Park, Pune, or back where it all started in Gurugram, the environment is consistent. We focus on proper prep, so we never rush or skip steps. You will find us having real conversations, brewing specialty coffee, and sometimes even breaking into song.
