The journey of an instrument starts with the maker. My family has been crafting sitars, tanpuras, and surbahars in Miraj since 1850. It is an honor when legends of Indian classical music choose my workshop to find their ultimate tone.

A memorable moment with the sitar maestro, Ustad Shahid Pervej Khan ji. It is always a privilege to interact with and learn from such a legend of the Imdadkhani gharana.

I had the great fortune of meeting Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, the sarod maestro. These moments are a big inspiration for my craft.

It was a pleasure to meet the famous singer Kailash Kher and show him one of our custom black sitars. His appreciation for our craft means a lot.

A happy moment with the talented artist and comedian Zakir Khan, holding a unique green sitar we made. It is wonderful to see our instruments in the hands of artists from all fields.

Sharing a laugh with sitar maestro Niladri Kumar ji after working on the jawari of his sitar. Getting the tone just right for an artist of his caliber is a rewarding challenge.

The very talented and rising star Mehtab Ali Niyazi visited our shop in Miraj. Here he is playing one of our sitars, and it was a joy to hear our instrument come alive in his hands.

With the respected vocalist Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty ji, who we provided new tanpuras for and serviced his existing ones. Ensuring the perfect drone for a vocalist is a crucial part of our work.

With a living legend at the Sawai Gandharva festival in Pune. These encounters with great musicians are the real reward of our work.

A great meeting with Ayaan Ali Bangash bhai, a brilliant sarod player from a legendary musical family.

At the Sawai Gandharva music festival, meeting with talented musicians and friends. The music community is like our extended family.

About Trusted by the Masters

When a master like Ustad Shahid Pervej Khan or Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty trusts you with their instrument, it is not just about the fix. It is about understanding the specific jawari (bridge adjustment) and string tension they need for the concert stage. Whether you are an aspiring student or a seasoned performer, I apply these same 1850-heritage techniques to your instrument to make it stage-ready.
