International Courier & Excess Baggage Shipping
Packing for studies or a long trip and hitting the airline luggage limit? We help you ship the rest—clothes, utensils, books, and even your favourite homemade meals—securely to your destination.
I often get asked about sending extra items abroad for students. Here I explain our excess luggage courier service. We pack everything from utensils and food items to clothes and ship them internationally, solving the problem of airline weight limits.
This video shows my team carefully packing items for international shipping. Whether it's our ready-to-eat meals or your personal belongings, we make sure everything is secure for its journey across the world.
My courier service makes sending parcels from Mumbai to anywhere in the world simple. In partnership with Dolphin International Courier Services, I can ship your favorite Indian meals and personal items together, hassle-free.
Getting "ghar ka khana" and other essentials abroad is now very easy. We ship our ready-to-eat meals like Veg Makhanwala and Pav Bhaji, along with your other parcels, directly to your door.
A simple question I get all the time: "Can you send my other things along with the food?" The answer is always yes. I will get it done for you.
About International Courier & Excess Baggage
Sending items abroad is not just about finding a courier partner; it is about how the parcel is prepared before it leaves Mumbai. We handle the sorting, vacuum-packing, and heavy-duty 7-ply boxing right here at our Byculla shop, ensuring your masalas, utensils, and clothes reach your doorstep in another country without a scratch.
Shipping parcels from Mumbai to countries like the USA, Canada, UK, and Australia requires more than just a label. The biggest issues we see are leakages with food items and damage to household goods due to poor packaging. That is why we manage everything from our own facility.
How We Pack Your Items
We use 7-ply heavy-duty corrugated boxes that are designed to survive the international transit process. If you are sending metal utensils, we bubble-wrap each piece and stuff them inside larger items to save on volumetric weight. For pickles, chutneys, or homemade ghee, we apply multi-layer sealing and plastic wrapping to ensure no spillages damage your books or clothing in the same box.
What You Can Ship
Our service covers almost everything you need to feel at home abroad:
- Personal Belongings: Clothes, shoes, books, and pooja items.
- Kitchen Essentials: Utensils, pressure cookers, and Indian spices.
- Food: Homemade snacks like thepla, and our ready-to-eat meal packets.
- Specialty Items: Frozen Aamras and liquids (packed with thermal insulation).
A Quick Note on Customs and Timing
We prepare the Proforma Invoice and Packing List for you, and we assist with the necessary KYC linking for export clearance. However, please remember that destination customs duty is a local rule in the receiving country and is payable by the receiver. We generally target a transit time of 3 to 5 working days to major international hubs. If you are planning a move, we recommend starting this process at least 10 days before your travel date so we can ensure everything is packed perfectly for the journey.
