Art as Self-Expression and Mindfulness
Art is my way to breathe, to get lost, and to find myself again. These pieces are my personal diary, using lines and patterns to navigate the days when things get too heavy.
I call this piece 'Self Hug'. It's an abstract portrait about learning to show compassion for yourself, especially when you're filled with sadness and overwhelming thoughts. It’s a digital drawing I made after a long break from abstract art.
This animated piece is my soul talking through lines and colors. I transformed my digital mandala art into a flowing, butterfly-like form to express deep emotions and the feeling of spiritual release.
An intense, trippy animation I created called 'Lost in Translation'. This kaleidoscopic video uses my mandala patterns to explore the deeper, more chaotic parts of the mind in a visually meditative way.
About Art as Self-Expression
I often get asked if you need to be an artist to start. You don't. My 'Self Hug' portrait and these animations started as a way to untangle my own thoughts. I invite you to join a session where we focus on the movement of the pen, not the final result. Whether you join me for a live online session or an offline workshop at a café in Delhi NCR, we keep the focus on simple patterns that act as a visual anchor for a calm mind.
Turning Emotions into Art
When I draw, I am not looking for perfection. I am looking for a pause. The pieces in this gallery, like my 'Self Hug' portrait, reflect moments where I needed to acknowledge my own sadness and give it space. I realized that keeping everything inside wasn't helping, so I started putting those feelings into my digital illustrations and mandalas.
Finding Your Own Calm
My workshops are built on the same philosophy. You do not need expensive supplies or years of experience. We use basics like pencils and fineliners to explore:
- Mindful Doodling: Simple, repetitive strokes that help lower anxiety.
- Zentangle Patterns: Structured, easy-to-learn grids that provide a sense of control.
- Visual Meditation: Using art to quiet the noise in your head, exactly like I do.
Join a Session
I host these sessions for colleges, offices, and small groups across Delhi NCR. If you are an overthinker, or if you just need a break from the daily grind, you will fit right in. We create a safe space where you can be yourself, draw at your own pace, and hopefully leave with a clearer head. Check out my upcoming schedule or reach out for a custom session.
