Sculptural Architectural Details & Custom Interiors
We don't just build walls. We turn structural elements like staircases, ceilings, and balconies into the main characters of your home, designed specifically around your story.
The sculptural staircase at Rehethaan is a celebration of form and material. Clad in dramatic brown marble, it curves its way up, with a celestial installation of spheres hanging in the void.
A view from the top of the staircase, looking down at the floating spheres and the intricate marble work.
The staircase and galleria, showing the massive marble-clad light fixture that hangs from the ceiling, echoing the curve of the stairwell.
A detail of the underside of the staircase, which is adorned with a vibrant, custom-painted mural, turning a structural element into a canvas for art.
Another view of the stunning mural by House of Berserk, which unfurls like a massive, artistic scroll along the curve of the staircase.
The staircase in our Kolam Pop home is a rhythmic dance of geometry and material. Each solid wooden tread is complemented by a riser in mosaic tiles with abstracted Kolam patterns.
Looking up from the base of the Oonjal, the ceiling of the courtyard reveals a large circular skylight framed by a beautiful mosaic of Kolam-inspired patterns.
A view of the upper-level corridor in Kolam Pop, showing the mosaic ceiling, the custom balustrade, and the slatted wooden window screens.
The ceiling at Rehethaan is a complex geometry of curves and vaults. Here, oversized, custom-made frond-like lights by Shailesh Rajput Studio add a dramatic, organic touch.
A favorite shot of the ceiling, showing the intricate curves and the beautiful way the sculptural lights interact with the architecture.
About Sculptural Details & Craftsmanship
When we look at a staircase or a corridor, we don't just see a load-bearing necessity or a transit point. We see a blank canvas for play. Whether it is a staircase clad in dramatic brown marble or a ceiling patterned with traditional motifs, these elements define the rhythm of your home. It is about taking the structural and turning it into something that you want to touch, look at, and talk about.
At MuseLAB, we believe the soul of a home hides in its specific details. In our Rehethaan project in Gandhidham, we treated the staircase as an oversized confetti carnival. By suspending spheres meticulously, we transformed a simple transit point into a surreal experience. This was not about following a standard architectural manual but about pushing material limits to create joy.
We apply this same logic to our projects in Mumbai. Take our Kolam Pop home, where the ceiling became a mosaic canvas. We worked with artisans to reinterpret traditional patterns, turning a flat surface into a rhythmic narrative. We collaborate with painters, sculptors, and material experts to ensure these signature elements are not just additions, but essential parts of your story.
Whether it is a triangular Juliet balcony with a scalloped edge or a custom-designed light installation, our process is consistent. We start by listening to your personal stories, not just your room dimensions. From there, we work with craftsmen to execute designs that feel personal, tactile, and, most importantly, fun. If you have a corner or a corridor you want to redefine, we are here to help you reimagine it.
