Behind Our Design Philosophy: Stories and Process
We do not just draft floor plans. We listen to your stories, from a favourite poem to a holiday memory, and weave them into your home's architecture. Here is a peek into how we do it.
This film for Asian Paints' 'Into the Grain' series takes you on a deep dive into our Rehethaan project. We discuss our playful approach, our love for wood, and how we draw inspiration from our clients' personal stories.
In this conversation, we talk about the unconventional things we do, like actually listening. We believe in working with our team as colleagues, not employees, because new perspectives are just as valuable as experience.
We believe it's important not to take ourselves too seriously and to seek inspiration from outside the world of architecture. A poem, a favorite holiday, a beloved book, these are the things that give a home its soul.
A quick tour of the entrance and home office at Rehethaan. We designed the layout so that visitors can meet the homeowners in the office without having to enter the main part of the home, offering a layer of privacy.
About Our Design Philosophy in Motion
When we start, we do not ask about square footage. We ask about your favourite book or a holiday that changed you. It might sound unconventional, but that is how we move past standard trends to build a space that feels uniquely yours, like our Rehethaan project where every corner was shaped by specific anecdotes.
Our process is not about fitting a project into a mould. It is about a constant, playful dialogue. Whether we are planning a 14,000 square foot villa in Kandla or a compact apartment in Mumbai, our approach remains anchored in deep listening. We value the new perspective a client brings, balancing it with our years of architectural practice.
From our studio in Prabhadevi, we manage everything from narrative-driven 3D layouts to site supervision and custom furniture production through MuseMART. We integrate sculptural elements, like staircases or specific art pieces, to turn functional homes into experiential spaces. We do not chase trends. We hunt for the 'why' behind your space, ensuring that every brass inlay or walnut joinery detail serves your story. If you are looking for design that feels less like a corporate project and more like a collaboration, let us talk.
