The best cake smash photos are not the posed ones, but the moments when your baby truly digs into the cake, gets messy, and forgets the camera is even there. I plan my sessions around your baby's natural rhythm, starting with formal portraits before letting them loose on the cake, followed by a warm bubble bath to get them clean and smiling again.
How We Make the Magic Happen
A first birthday or cake smash session at my Goregaon studio is designed to be as stress-free as possible for you and fun for your little one. We usually start with a few clean, formal portraits so you have those classic family shots, and then we introduce the cake.
I provide the balloon decor, props, and marquee letters for the set. You just need to bring the cake and the outfit! If you have a specific theme in mind—like the popular 'Boss Baby' suit or a 'Barbie' dreamhouse setup—let me know beforehand so I can arrange the matching backdrop and props.
Practical Tips for a Great Smash
- Timing is everything: Try to schedule the shoot around your baby’s nap time. A well-rested baby makes for a happy smash session.
- The Outfit: Bring an outfit that is easy to move in. You will likely want a cute dress or a sharp suit for the start, and maybe something simpler for the messy part.
- The Cleanup: Don't worry about the mess. Every cake smash package includes a warm water tub session at the end. It is usually the moment where babies have the most fun, splashing around and giggling, which gives us some of the most authentic, candid shots of the day.
