Here is how it works: we always start with 15 to 20 minutes of classic, clean portraits so you have those perfect formal shots first. Once your little one is settled in their outfit and comfortable in the studio, we bring out the cake. Don't worry about the mess—that is exactly where the magic happens and where I capture the most genuine, joyful reactions.

The Setup Every session begins with a clean portrait setup to capture your baby's personality before the sugar rush kicks in. After that, we transition to your chosen theme. Whether you want a jungle safari, a mini chef kitchen, a candyland setup, or something custom, I have the props to bring it to life.

Getting Those Smiles I am not just standing behind a camera. I get down on the floor, play games, and sing songs to keep your baby engaged. If they are shy at first, we take it slow. My goal is for your little one to feel like they are at a playdate, not a photo session.

The Finale We end with the messy cake smash. Watching a one-year-old explore a cake with their hands—and sometimes their feet—is hilarious and makes for the best images. If you are doing a twins shoot, I have experience managing coordinated themes that highlight their individual personalities while capturing their bond.
