About Timeless Black & White
Whether we are working in my Majiwada studio with controlled lighting or using natural window light in your home, I look for the fleeting, honest gestures that define this time. It might be the way you instinctively cradle your bump, a shared glance with your partner, or a simple, contemplative expression. These photos aren't just posed; they are tactile, emotive memories captured in grain and shadow to create something classic that will stand the test of time, just like the love you are already building for your Kulanthai.
The beauty of a black and white maternity session lies in its ability to focus purely on the connection and form. Without the distraction of colour, our eyes are drawn to the texture of your gown, the soft curve of your silhouette, and the light hitting your skin. It changes the way you look at a photograph, moving from just seeing an image to feeling the mood of the moment.
I often shoot these portraits in my studio in Thane, where I can manipulate the lighting to achieve that rich, film-like quality. If you are more comfortable in your own space, I bring that same careful, patient approach to your home, using natural light to create intimate, candid portraits of you and your family.
We will spend time getting the poses right, but the most special shots are the ones where you forget I am there—looking down at your belly, sharing a laugh with your partner, or simply resting. These are the moments I personally cherish the most. Whether you opt for a full studio session or a mix of indoor and outdoor locations, my goal is for you to walk away with photos that feel honest, elegant, and deeply personal. It is a privilege to document this time, and I am here to ensure you feel beautiful, relaxed, and truly seen.
