About Behind the Art
The walls at Babaa's Joint aren't just for show. My artist friends actually spent days here painting those murals and putting up the posters you see. It is why the vibe feels so different from those sterile chain cafes in the area. You are basically hanging out in our living room.
When I started this space, I knew I did not want the typical sleek, cold cafe aesthetic. I wanted a place where you can actually breathe and relax. If you look closely at the murals, you will see our story—it is quirky, it is honest, and yes, sometimes a little weird. We believe that good food needs a good setting, which is why we leaned into that artsy, old-school, 'ghar ka khana' feel. Every poster you see on the wall has a story, and every chair is meant for chilling, not rushing.
We are located right in the heart of HSR Layout, making it the perfect spot if you are tired of the loud, over-the-top places. Come by, grab a cutting chai or a momo, and just soak it in. There is no pressure to order, and definitely no pressure to leave. We built this to be a true third space between work and home, where you can just be yourself. Whether you are coming in for a quick coffee or to work on your laptop, the environment is set up for comfort, not just business.
