Decor for Cherished Family Milestones
From the first wedding invitation ceremony to welcoming new family members, we design the small rituals that build the foundation of your celebration.
The Kankotri Lakhan is a beautiful Gujarati tradition that marks the official start of wedding festivities. I curated this intimate home ceremony, arranging the seating and traditional elements to ensure the family could comfortably perform the ritual of writing the first wedding invitations.
A Jamai Welcome is all about celebrating the new bond between families. I managed this event, which included a fun, festive atmosphere with a bohemian-style decor theme, ensuring the groom felt welcomed with joy and celebration.
"Pade aapke shubh kadam," we welcome the Jamai (son-in-law) with all our heart. This rooftop welcome ceremony was designed with a beautiful floral backdrop and fairy lights to create a magical setting for the celebration.
This rustic and vibrant decor was for a Kankotri ceremony. I used a green backdrop with a custom couple's monogram and decorated the staircase and ceiling with colorful floral runners, blending traditional and bohemian styles.
About Decor for Cherished Family Milestones
I know these small ceremonies like Kankotri Lakhan or a Jamai Welcome can get overwhelming with family arriving and rituals to manage. My team handles the floral sourcing, the seating layouts, and the ritual essentials so you are not running around on the day of your event. We focus on blending traditional elements, like marigold torans or bajots, with a clean, modern aesthetic so your photos look great and your home feels welcoming.
These family milestones are where the real connection happens. Whether it is a traditional Gujarati Kankotri Lakhan or a rooftop welcome for a new family member, I treat these smaller events with the same level of detail as a large wedding.
When we plan these, we look at your existing space first. If you have a duplex in Andheri or a compact apartment in South Mumbai, we adapt the floor seating and backdrop size to ensure the room stays functional while looking festive. For instance, in our recent Kankotri setups, we prioritized comfortable gaddas and clear floor space so elders could perform the rituals without difficulty, while using fresh floral runners to brighten up the staircases and entrance.
We do not just put up generic drapes. We mix materials like pampas grass for a bohemian twist or use authentic brass vessels for the traditional feel. My team manages the setup from start to finish, which means we coordinate with vendors and handle the cleanup, leaving you to focus on your guests. If you need specific signage with names or custom floral arrangements, just tell me your vision during our first call.
