Modern Angrakha Kurtas
Step away from the standard straight-cut look with our Angrakha collection. These kurtas feature an overlapping, side-tie design in structured, textured fabrics that offer a more formal and royal appearance.
A full look at my Angrakha style kurtas. This video shows the fit on a model and also displays the variety of colors and patterns available, from textured solids to printed designs with a pocket square detail.
This collection of Angrakha kurtas comes in five distinct colors, including pastel green, beige, and a bold mustard yellow. Each one is made from a quality fabric with a subtle self-print pattern, offering a sophisticated modern ethnic option.
About Modern Angrakha Kurtas
These aren't your typical soft cotton kurtas. Because we use stiff 'Silk Embose' and Jacquard fabrics, the Angrakha cut holds its shape perfectly from the first hour of your event to the last. They come with pre-stitched faux pocket squares and metallic-finish buttons, so you don't need to hunt for accessories.
If you want to move away from the basic straight-cut kurta, the Angrakha style is the right choice. The asymmetrical overlap gives a more formal, royal silhouette that works particularly well for evening weddings or festive gatherings.
Why choose our Angrakha style?
- Structured Fabric: We don't use flimsy materials here. We rely on 'Silk Embose' and Jacquard blends. These fabrics are thick and textured, which is necessary to maintain the clean lines of the Angrakha's side-fastening design.
- Ready-to-Wear Polish: Every piece in this collection comes with built-in detailing, including contrast piping on the placket and metallic-finish or rhinestone-studded buttons. The faux pocket square is already integrated, saving you the hassle of coordinating accessories.
- Sizing: We keep sizes 36, 38, 40, 42, and 44 in stock. Since these are structured garments, the fit is more tailored compared to standard loose-fit ethnic wear.
Care and Maintenance: Because of the embossed patterns and structured weave, we strongly recommend dry cleaning. Washing these at home can flatten the texture and ruin the sharp shape of the overlap.
Whether you're in Borivali or anywhere else in India, we can get these to you. You can drop by our store to try them on for size, or message us if you’re ordering online.
