The Art in Progress
My process is slow, steady, and focused on clean lines. See how I layer traditional motifs with fine-tip precision to create your perfect design!
A glimpse into my process. I take my time with each line, ensuring the pattern is flawless and the details are crisp before the henna paste dries.
Here you can see the texture and precision of the wet henna paste as I carefully apply a traditional jaali and border design onto the arm.
About The Art in Progress
I work exclusively with 0.3mm fine-tip cones, which allow for the crisp, defined edges you see here. Because I value patience over speed, I prefer a quiet environment to focus on these intricate patterns without any interruption.
The images here showcase the reality of my process. Applying mehndi is a quiet conversation between the cone and the skin, which is why I focus on deliberate, steady movements. This tool allows for the precision needed to execute complex jaali patterns or delicate floral vines without smudging.
When you look at a finished design, you see the result. However, the art truly lies in the application. Whether I am working on a full traditional forearm or a simple minimalist armband, my goal remains the same: crisp, clean lines that stand the test of time. I do not rush the flow of the paste, as that is how mistakes happen.
For those seeking traditional bridal mehndi, this patience is vital. Intricate peacocks, lotus motifs, and architectural domes require steady hands and calm surroundings. I bring my own lighting and setup to ensure I can see every curve of your skin. If you prefer a modern, minimalist aesthetic, the same care applies to the use of negative space and geometric mandalas.
My organic, essential oil-infused henna needs time to settle and dry. I include consultation on aftercare to help you get the darkest, longest-lasting stain possible. If you are planning an event in Bengaluru, please remember that this level of detail requires time. I prioritize quality over speed for every client, ensuring your henna experience is as relaxing as the final art.
