I create classic Indian mehndi by moving slowly, ensuring every peacock, paisley, and mandala pattern is perfectly placed for your celebration.

A close-up view of a full-coverage design, showing the crisp lines and detailed floral and geometric patterns that I patiently craft for a traditional look.

This design showcases intricate jaali work on the forearms, complemented by classic motifs on the palms for a balanced and elegant sangeet mehndi look.

Here, the focus is on the detailed grid and checkerboard patterns, known as jaali, which add depth and complexity to this full-arm festive henna design.

This is a beautiful example of symmetrical design work, where both hands mirror each other with elaborate floral and geometric patterns for a harmonious finish.

A lovely design featuring a mix of bold mandalas on the forearms and delicate dot work on the palms, creating a striking contrast in this party mehndi.

The chevron patterns on the fingers lead into a detailed wrist cuff and forearm design, demonstrating how I build layers of traditional henna art.

This intricate design features repeating blocks of lotus and elephant motifs, creating a narrative pattern that is perfect for a festive or bridal occasion.

I love the elegance of jaali net patterns. Here, they create a beautiful illusion of lace gloves, finished with a detailed cuff and finger designs.

A classic design featuring a large central mandala on the back of the hand, with detailed jaali work extending up the arm for a complete festive look.

This full-coverage design for both hands and feet ensures a cohesive and stunning look, featuring traditional floral bands and detailed finger work.

About Traditional & Intricate Hand Art

My traditional work relies on dense, intricate patterns like jaali and peacocks that require you to stay still for 30 to 45 minutes per hand. Because I do not use shortcuts, this time is essential to ensure the linework is crisp and the stain is deep.

My Approach to Tradition

I believe mehndi is a slow, meditative process. When I create these traditional designs, I am not just drawing patterns; I am layering stories. My traditional style features the motifs you know and love—peacocks, paisleys, mandalas, and intricate lotus designs—but I focus heavily on the 'jaali' (net) effect to provide depth and contrast.

Why the Detail Matters

Traditional Indian mehndi is all about density and flow. Whether it is architectural domes, jharokha cuts, or elephant figures, each element is drawn with a 0.3mm fine-tip cone. This allows me to maintain consistent, thin lines that look sharp once the henna stain matures. Because I avoid chemical additives, my paste is 100% organic, mixed with essential oils like eucalyptus and lavender for a darker, richer color.

What to Expect During Application

I require my clients to sit comfortably and stay relatively still for the duration of the application. This is not a rushed service; it is a dedicated appointment where the quality of the line is my priority. Whether we are doing a full-arm sleeve or traditional palm work, I apply a lemon-sugar sealant at the end to help lock in the moisture and deepen the stain. If you are looking for that classic, festive look that lasts, I ensure the final result is as clean as it is complex.

I’m Nazwa. I see every hand as a fresh canvas and treat your mehndi as a piece of art rather than a quick job. I prefer working in quiet, steady hours, building up those intricate, traditional patterns until they are just right for you.
