About Our Legacy & Vision

We believe that true musical growth requires more than technical practice. By connecting our students with international maestros and encouraging collaborative ensemble work, we ensure that every learner understands the depth of the tradition they are inheriting.

The Mehli Mehta Music Foundation stands as a bridge between India and the global world of Western classical music. Established thirty years ago as a tribute to the legacy of Mehli Mehta, our foundation has grown into a space where students discover the rigour and beauty of this art form. We emphasize that music education involves more than individual instruction. It requires participation in choirs, exposure to masterclasses with visiting artists like Fali Pavri or the late Neil Nongkynrih, and a consistent connection to the broader musical community.

Our curriculum, whether in the Discover Music program or our advanced instrumental training, is designed to build foundational skills while fostering a long-term appreciation for composers and repertoire. Located at Kemps Corner in Mumbai, our facility is not merely a place of study. It is a hub where students, parents, and international experts meet to celebrate the discipline of music. From our early childhood initiatives to our advanced vocal and instrumental cohorts, we maintain a focus on heritage, mentorship, and artistic excellence.
